Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Premier League had played in the UAE for the last two years. But this year IPL is gonna be hilarious for all the Indian Premier League Fans because the IPL 2022 has been scheduled to play in India across four international standard venues in Mumbai and Pune.
In this year IPL 2022, A total of 10 teams will participate in this T20 Cricket Tournament, which was Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and the two new franchises Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) & Gujarat Titans (GT). A total of 70 league matches will be played across four international standard venues in Mumbai and Pune.

IPL New Format 2022
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the IPL 2022 start & final match date on Friday by releasing an official statement.
The Indian Premier League becomes bigger & much more interesting this year. In IPL 2022, All 10 teams were divided into two virtual groups according to their past performances. Here is the list of Teams in Group A & Group B.

Each team will play twice with the teams in their group and with the team in the same row in the second group. With the rest of the teams in the second group, they will play only once during the season.
For Example:
In Group A, MI will play 2 matches each against KKR, RR, DC, LSG. MI will also play 2 matches against CSK and 1 match each against other teams in Group B.
Similarly, in Group B, RCB will play 2 matches against CSK, SRH, PBKS, and GT. RCB will also play 2 matches against RR and 1 match each against other teams in Group A.
IPL Schedule 2022
IPL 2022 Schedule is not yet officially published. BCCI i.e. Board of Control for Cricket in India is all set to announce the Official IPL 2022 Schedule in the upcoming days on IPL Official website https://www.iplt20.com/.
A total 10 teams will be participate in 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Mumbai Indians (MI), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) & Gujarat Titans (GT).
The 10 teams will play a total of 14 league matches (7 home matches and 7 away matches) totalling to 70 league matches, followed by the 4 playoff matches. Each team will play 5 teams twice and the remaining 4 teams only once (2 only home and 2 only away).
